The Super, Savvy, skillful Skiing Puppy!!

Went skiing with my Papa again today and this time my Australian friend Rebecca came with! !Went to a 3km skiing course and i swear it nearly killed me! The slopes where soo steep that some of them i ended up walking sideways down!!!! Rebecca had huge trouble trying to stop (which is not good when there are no sides on the ski slopes here, If you cant stop in time.. its bye bye down the mountain for you!) But papa ended up doubling her down :) I made it finally but it was a HUGE effort!! Quite proud of myslelf :)
During our skiing adventure we came across this little puppy on ski`s!! He was being pulled along by his owner and was enjoying every moment! UNREAL!!
The goggles suit you pooch! :)

ROAD SPRINKLERS - what will they think of next?

Here is a pic of the sprinklers they have in the middle of almost every road here to melt the ice! I seen them for the first time at the start of winter and thought there was a broken water pipe or something somewhere and there was a whole row of workers trying to stop it! But as it turned out they were just testing the sprinklers to make sure they were in working order for winter!!! It`s a fab idea ( if only we had that much water to waste in Aus) But even though the water is hot, in the morning when the sprinklers are just turned on, the snow turns to ice and its almost impossible to drive on! Also it sucks when your a pedestrian and one of the sprinklers are broken... instead of the water shooting out sideways it shoots up.. hehe! Gotta love the old granpa`s and Grandma`s trying to dodge the Sprays of water... :)

Skiing with Shiki Papa!

Went skiing with my old host dad and my Irish friend Kweeva this weekend!! It was great fun!! Skiing isnt really that difficult either! Both kweeva and i only fell over once, and that was on the flat part at the beginning!! Unfortunatly we only stayed about 2 hours coz it started snowing really heavily (enough that you had to dig yourself out of the lift just so you could get off at the end) And i was only in jeans... I really should buy some ski wear... my legs went bright red from the cold!! eek!! After skiing we went to my Fav resturant and drink and ate until my host dad could hardly stand up!! Tee hee.. and all this for free!! HOORAY!!

Lissi comes to Play :)

1.Dinner with the devils
2. A devil in hell
3. The enterence to the caves

Had a great weekend this weekend! One of my ol high school pals Allissa came to Komatsu to play for the weekend! HOORAY!
Josh and Yoichi also came on the Saturday and we headed to Hani be caves where there are sculptures and stuff that represent the buddas idea of heaven and hell! It was really, really weird! Heaven was represented like, well..... lets just say alot of karma sutra! Hell was lots of devils and alot of people either already dead or dying as well as devils! It was the weirdest place i have ever visited. The caves are dark, cold and scary!
Apparently a couple of years ago the guy who ran the place was arrested for telling a pregnant women that her child was the devil and that he could take care of it for her... i have no idea what the man did to the women and i dont think i wana know either.... the person who created these caves would have to be completly insane!! psyco even! But it definetly was an experience!
Here are some pics... (the tame ones) for all to see!
Saturday night was a night of drinks and once again Karioke! GO LISS! Had an awsome night of our awsome singing ;) and dancing! Fantabulous!

Sunday was spent at Saymore ski fields!! We were all to scared to try skiing and snowboarding so we stuck to sleding!! (The guy at the counter even gave us a discount... either because we were foreign or he felt sorry for us or a mixture of both) Either way we troddled up the hill with the kids (who seemed to beat us up the hill everytime) and managed to make it down the hill a WHOLE 4 times!! (what? its bloody hard work)!!!
After deciding it was just too much hard work we made a snowman! We named him Moe, the Gay snowman.... Yoichi and Josh insisted he was gay... surprise surprise! We had a hard time trying to find bits for his face as we were up to our knees in snow but after finding sticks and confincing josh to give up a whole 20 yen (20 cents) of his money Moe was complete! He totally rocks!!!
Come sunday night and after a big feed of Okonomikayi everyone left :( Cheers to a smashing weekend!!! Tanks liss ;)

1. Moe and the gang
2. If you roll a little snowball down the hill they really do
turn into big snowballs!
3. 4 on the sleds!
