Here is a pic of the sprinklers they have in the middle of almost every road here to melt the ice! I seen them for the first time at the start of winter and thought there was a broken water pipe or something somewhere and there was a whole row of workers trying to stop it! But as it turned out they were just testing the sprinklers to make sure they were in working order for winter!!! It`s a fab idea ( if only we had that much water to waste in Aus) But even though the water is hot, in the morning when the sprinklers are just turned on, the snow turns to ice and its almost impossible to drive on! Also it sucks when your a pedestrian and one of the sprinklers are broken... instead of the water shooting out sideways it shoots up.. hehe! Gotta love the old granpa`s and Grandma`s trying to dodge the Sprays of water... :)

what will they think of next, laughing, great minds think alike, that wood be so funny that the oldies actually hit the water spraying upwards, it'll freak them out, sliding from side to side, hitting things alongthe way. GET OUT OF THE WAY granny's coming through!!! hehe. micky from Oz
